Emmet County EMS Receives New Ambulance
Assignment:
The Emmet County Director of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) requested that I visit the EMS Station to take some photos of the recently received new ambulance before EMS staff loaded it up with all the necessary equipment and supplies.
NOTES:
I visited the EMS Station on a cold, snowy day in February 2021, but the EMS Director was still excited to show off the department’s new vehicle. The year before we had worked together on an awards ceremony and open house event. We had also collaborated in 2019 on Fact Sheets for a ballot proposal to increase the county’s EMS millage from .24 to .75 in order to fund new ambulances and other other necessary equipment. His enthusiasm quickly inspired me and I wanted the public to see how taxpayer money was being spent. I created this video using the photos and short videos I took while learning about the new vehicle. Also included on this page is a framed version of the news release I wrote and submitted to local news outlets about the first remounted ambulance received by EMS following passage of the higher millage.
