Local Government Communications

After 20 years operating a community newspaper in Indiana, we moved to northern Michigan in late 2018 when I accepted the position of Director of Communications and Website Development in the county government of Emmet County. The position changed quite a bit in the years that followed, mainly due to staff changes and my own goals for the job. A general summary of my department’s role and responsibilities was provided to new county commissioners in February 2022.
